One of the red seat patrons was texting and got hit in the face with the ball.

Well if they are there you would think one would want them to cheer. smh.

Dude you know I didn't mean it that way. Of course I would expect them to cheer.

I just don't care if they aren't wasted and trying to get on the dance cam and crap like that.

Oh okay. Good clarification.

He could have been posting on PFs

I thought the thread was complaining about the seats being empty. Now people are piling on the guy who had his phone out very late after the game was decided.

Further, I am pretty sure that people in every section text/tweet/post during the game.

Also, for the record, it was not me and I do not know him but I did have a good view of it.

I was out of town this weekend, so I missed both the UCF and Hofstra games, but was able to give them away to some future Mustangs!

Looking forward to being back in Moody with my wife on Tuesday though.

Just having a little fun.

I both tweeted and posted during the game. The good news is the ball will never reach my seats.

And I'm not in the red zone by the way. 211 row 5, good seats. Front and center for viewing our great coach in action!

Wow. I made a one sentence statement of something I thought was humerous and you get combative. Enjoy the win. I was on my phone and taking pictures during the game.

Same. You would need a tie the ball to a rocket launcher!

How about sending out an email saying simply : Dear season ticket holder. Good news - we are a lot better and every game is now televised. Bad news - when you don't show and don't make sure someone uses your ticket it looks bad on tv. We need your help making sure you are either there or someone is in your seats. We don't want to have to not renew seats for lack of attendance but that is what we will be forced to do if it is a chronic situation. Thanks for helping us make SMU game day a fantastic experience!!!!

Empty red seats are much more noticeable now that the upper level is pretty much full for these games.

I have a red seat but haven't gotten checked hardly at all. Used to be very difficult even when the place was empty.

I would say if you spot some open seats after halftime, just head down there. i would bet for the bigger games like Memphis it would be more difficult.
