I can't see the red seats from where I sit. I am glad cause that would make me mad.

Maybe Larry should meet with them in addition to the student groups. Send them a video Larry!

Same here, Tread... my seats are above and to the side a bit, so I can't really judge the red seat turnout from my view. Prob a good thing.
I grabbed that pic from the highlight video.

Maybe we tell the red seaters their names get scratched off the Moody renovation plaque unless they show up to a certain % of the games, lol.

Bad news - when you don't show and don't make sure someone uses your ticket it looks bad on tv. We need your help making sure you are either there or someone is in your seats. We don't want to have to not renew seats for lack of attendance but that is what we will be forced to do if it is a chronic situation. Thanks for helping us make SMU game day a fantastic experience!!!!

Good suggestion, send it to [email protected].

Further, I am pretty sure that people in every section text/tweet/post during the game.

Wow. I made a one sentence statement of something I thought was humerous and you get combative. Enjoy the win. I was on my phone and taking pictures during the game.

Would hardly call my response combative, but apologies if it bothered you. I was referring to the people piling on, did not say anything about the original tackle/post.

Who piled on?

Maybe you just need to lighten up.

Gotta save up. My section is OK. Got some rowdy guy named PonyScott sitting a few rows below me - when his knee is not jacked up.

I'm a red seater, close to the baseline and it's a turnstile around me. Different people each game, so these have to be mostly corporate seats. It's also a cheering desert, but no one has yelled at me (yet) like at the football game for standing up.

The center seats barren like that is a shame, I tried to get closer to half court but was told it was completely sold out. If there is demand, maybe SMU can start a no show penalty, but my guess is theses are major donor seats they don't want to [deleted] off.

Thanks for proving I was there!

I will say that I think it is hard for some of the redseaters to fill their own seats. It's not that they don't go, it's that they own 5-8 seats and don't always bring that many. It is something we must address. I think that unless notice is given seats should be filled in the lower bowl mid way through the first half. And people should be encouraged to ensure their seats are used.

If your handle is RE Tycoon you really need to be in a suite.

The only way to remedy no shows is for the AD to set up a system where the season ticket holders can turn their tickets back to the department for redistribution.

I suggest offering them to internal SMU groups like the
Admissions department
Education department that helps local schools with curriculum
Perkins who bring in seminary students.

Shouldn't be very hard to have tickets returned and then offered on the in house SMU web site.

Are the red seats the lower level seats on the sidelines or all of the sideline seats?
