Leaked 2014 AAC Schedule

apparently an ECU schedule was leaked to school paper and announced at an ECU event Also, Temple information leaked

AWAY: SMU v ECU
SMU will not play Temple next year

so count on one less win against Temple and a tough road game against ECU

In another thread FTHP was hyping up Iowa State because they routinely fill their 50K stadium. ECU draws 40K+ consistently at their stadium and FTHP calls them a worthless addition to the AAC.

i kind of agree with him. ECU brings no media footprint that anyone will pay us for.

I was just pointing out his hypocrisy, not commenting on ECU as an addition to the AAC.

Ecu brings a better budget, fan following, facilities, and program than most if not all of the remaining CUSA or MAC options. The Mwc isn't an option after the BSU/SDSU fallout.

Short of Boise or SDSU which already fell through, who you gonna take instead?

Iowa State is in the Big 12. I would love to play them every year rather than being stuck in this two bit conference that looks more like CUSA every day! What's next, UTEP and Southern Miss?

We would have been better off splitting the meager 30 Million in conference revenue between the remaining 8 teams rather than adding 3 more CUSA teams....adding them makes us lose about $1million each year, per school

The goal should be to move up to the Big 12 with you guys...this conference (American) was doomed from the beginning (G5 status, 135 Million contract instead if 1.35billion, no automatic bid, no representation in CFP selection committee, more than 1/2 of its members want to leave and 4/5 don't feel like this conference suits them..)

Also, the only reason we wanted to join the Big East was because of the increased TV exposure and revenues that exceeded $10 million a year. None of those happened since we are still only shown on ESPNU and ESPN3 and make less than $3 million in revenue. Travel alone is going to cripple us. (Flying out to UConn for basketball and football as well as non revenue sports can get pretty expensive!)
