hofstra player threw a punch

a player for hofstra threw a punck at markus and yet a double technical was called.
what was that all about.
why wasn't the hofstra player ejected?
sorry if this was already discussed but i didn't see anything about it.

Was it a double tech? I think it was a foul on SMU and technical on Hofstra. Do not think it made the threshold of ejection although I was too far away to see the actual act.

It was a double technical. The Hofstra dude definitely threw an elbow. Not sure it was technically a punch.

When they showed the replay I thought for sure the Hofstra player would be ejected.

There was a bit of commentary on that on the tv broadcast. I agreed with the referees' judgement that it shouldn't have been an ejection even though technically it probably qualified. We were beating them down so badly that you gotta allow for a little bit of human emotion there.

i think it was soon after that that lb took markus out. no need for a big fight to erupt. the hofstra player from my angle definitely threw a punch. i don't know what prompted it. maybe he was tired of getting his brains beat out. markus was having a good game.

After the dunk, Markus went out of the way to get in the guys face and say something, that is what started.
No reason for a punch to be thrown, but that is what started it.
