Thursday games

Postby Nacho » Mon Aug 29, 2005 3:44 pm

Houston, Tulsa and Central Florida all play on espn or the deuce this Thursday. I'm not a fan of going to Thursday games but I do look forward to seeing our future opponents on tv. The U of H/Oregon game should be entertaining. Houston runs a fast break offense that sputtered last year. They might give Oregon a game. I like their QB a lot.

BTW does anyone know who is officiating the SMU-Baylor game? Please tell me it's not a big 12 crew.

/\ I thought the visiting team always brought the officials. I could be wrong - it's happened once. ;)

If that's the case I guess we can look forward to some phantom pass interference and holding calls. I can't remember that last time we got an even break from the refs.

I bet ol' Swanny is already mad at the officials.

The amount of times those two guys stop just short of foul language... it's just priceless.

Yeah, because only Big XII refs make bad calls.

Um, I think the implied questioning of the Big XII officials was not whether they are capabable, but whether they are biased.

Yes. Those guys were the absolute worst.

Wasn't there a game last year, one of our games, in fact, that the officiating was so bad that crew got reprimanded and "suspended" only to be back the next week, and then doing another Pony game the week following?

I think that was last year.
