Had a friend inquire about the price for a single game suite, and if I understood correctly, the price is $3500 NOT INCLUDING tickets or any food and beverage. This is more than Mavs or Stars (which include the tickets and a food/beverage package). This seems a bit of an overreach, and is guaranteed to keep those suites empty more than full.

+1. pretty weak on Turner's part if that is true

but i will concede that the empty seats are an issue.

They might fill them with students as temporary seat holders until the actual seat holders arrive for the game. That way everyone is in good shape.

i'd be ok with that.

I had a friend look into getting one for ONE game and they quoted him like $12,000. If that's the case, they will never fill those.

Are some of them sold on a per game basis? I thought they were all leased or whatever

I think that since we are capping the free students tickets at 750, we should make a line of students outside of moody. First come, first serve type deal. After the second time out, the students in line can fill in all the empty seats.

Someone tweeted Rick Hart about that and he is working on it.

Who would pay that much for 1.5-2hrs of entertainment with no beverages included? Lets be realistic SMU

As a red seat guy,let me b..... A bit...the guy next to us told me today he would not come back...that the seats were cheap, there is no leg room...that they do not qualify as premium. ..he has back problems...I agree with him but we will still bethere for every game....but I can understand why some folks don't think these seats are close to premium...

Hopefully he gave his seats to other fans who don't demand a chair from Buckingham Palace for their game viewing experience

tell that guy to hit the road - if he has back problems then he cant get up and yell - therefore he needs to sit up higher and relinquish his seat.

Actually, the whiner - I'm sorry - the hypochondriac might have a point. Americans are so incredibly fat these days we probably should have been forward thinking and made each "seat" an entire Futon. Otherwise in 10 years, how many fans will we actually be able to fit in to the Coliseum?
