So how active is he on campus? Usually the coaching handbook article 1 states that a new coach shall go around to all the sororities, fraternities and student organizations drumming up support and making them realize how important their support is to the team. Also must follow-up with incoming students each year. If he doesn't do these things then he really is trying to run a college team like an NFL business.

Don't think JJ ever did this to my knowledge.

The whole June Jones experience at SMU since the ASU fiasco has been a very sad, sad story. I'm just amazed how he gets paid in spite of his lack of recruiting. One would figure that would be part of his job description & be held accountable (by his contract) but I guess not. He still gets his cool $2M annually. I hope SMU puts something in the 'next' coaches contract about recruiting or a lack thereof. He had a great opportunity here. What a shame.

BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Don't think the shape of the turd changes its composition.

It just crumbles and falls apart when you try to polish it....

where does he sit? I hope he saw firsthand how passionate the students and fanbase can get when a coach gives them something to be excited about

He's actually been hired as a $3M consultant re: Moody lighting. Too many missed free-throws and June suspects he knows why.
