who will forget that day...if you were there and experienced that 109 degree day. Actually, I think it had cooled off to 107 by kick-off
That was 28 days after I had my total hip replacement. Yes, I was supposed to be in bed got 6 weeks, but, I was not going to miss this game nor ANY other home game. ( Unless Mrs. Bus tells me to. )
What a day. Lots of water a Vicodine and then a beer. Oopps strike that. Great day and a great win. Funny thing is, when I wnt to the DR at 6 weeks... He saw me on TV on the Boulevard. BUSTED Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Man, funny thing is, I don't really remember the heat. I kind of tune that out of my memory banks, because I just expect it...
I just remember the Ford touchdown in Ford. ![]() Eric Dickerson in Pony Excess "I've love winning man, it's like better than losing." - Ebby Calvin "Nuke" LaLoosh
This is one of the few games I can actually remember from before 2001. The other one was the 1999 Arkansas whooping recieved. Well...I dunno..it was either 99 or 98 but I know we got drilled.
I can still hear those chants of ARKANSAS!....RAZORBACKS! echoing through the Cotton Bowl... *sighs* Sad that I've been to every game between since the Mustangs returned to the field but...I only remember a few games from before 2001. ![]()
Well, you were on "the sauce" back then, so it's forgiveable. ![]() ![]() Eric Dickerson in Pony Excess "I've love winning man, it's like better than losing." - Ebby Calvin "Nuke" LaLoosh
Great day! .. And yes.. hotter than hell!
I remember running to a friends apartment at Half and slamming about 5 beers before strolling back to Ford to watch the a$$whipping on that Jay-bird. What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.
