Probably should call it "Varsity" rather than "the varsity" to avoid confusion, but I think Smerkins gets a pass on that as his Sigma Chis were awesome last night

lol, now I feel like an idiot. Thanks for schooling me on that tidbit. I thought you were referring to the team as like the Varsity team...

I think it would be acceptable to rush after a 3pt buzzer shot to win against Memphis, Cincy, or Lville

Conference title clinching win over Louisville = should be encouraged
buzzer beater over Cincy, Memphis, Louisville = acceptable
otherwise rushing the court should not happen. we are not satisfied with big wins here and there. we want titles and potential recruits need to see it.

I don't want buzzer beater wins. I want blow outs.

We've already rushed the court after beating Memphis a few years ago.... beating Louisville would be acceptable in my mind, but that's it.

Agreed, but all that really matters is the wins. Tourney committee isn't going to look at margin of victory. They just care if you won the game or not. So that said, just keep the winning bus going. The thing I love about this team is they've won basically every game they should have so far, knock on wood. Not many tourney teams will be able to say that. As long as you can keep that bad losses off the record, you got a shot at a pretty good seeding come March.

Rushing the court is amateur hour unless it's something really really huge (and maybe even then) - but the kids see it on TV these days and all it takes is one.

I said blow outs because I have more fun at those games because I know that we will win. I don't like nail biters as they as bad for this old man's nerves.

Never. Rushing the court is telling the other team they're better but you got the better of them. Don't let them pop your fan cherry.

Close games do tend to shave a few years of a guy's life, I'm more worried about Larry at this point haha

This is the greatest ever version of Varsity, with all due respect to the band. I get chills every time I watch it.
