That would be a dream. Would be tough to get it done mainly because I think OSU would be reluctant to do a home-and-home with SMU. But with the way SMU is trending, it's a real quality opponent that OSU lacked this year on the OOC slate, that's for sure. That's the main issue you run into with these teams, so many are "big teams" are reluctant to travel, especially to a place they can get beat in the OOC. Sort like you'd never see Duke go play at Gonzaga. They could easily lose, no money in it for them and they could just schedule UNC-WIlmington to get the home game, money, and a win. Know what I mean? I'd freaking love it though. A home & home with San Diego State would be sweet for SMU I feel like. Get out to Cali (recruiting), play a great team, fans would enjoy that match-up too. NC State is a great OOC opponent though, big step-up from even Virginia, especially if Brown can get them to travel to Dallas, would be freaking huge. I think they could easily get into a tournament too, like the Maui or something. Maui field is absolutely loaded next year btw, gonna be the best field they've had in ages. But you know what I'm saying, would even be cool to have a Texas classic, Baylor, TT, SMU, and UT all play a double header at Jerry's World in one night. Indiana does this, Crossroads Classic at Bankers Life Field House in Indy. It's between Indiana, Purdue, Butler, and Notre Dame, the 4 basketball powers and Indiana and it draws tremendous crowds and boosts each of those school's schedules. Just some of my thoughts. But I'd love to see some good teams come to Moody, hard to watch some of the OOC games this year w/o being a true fan. For the record, I don't think we're getting Turner, everyone I've spoke with thinks OSU is in major trouble if he got a visit with Okie State set-up. He now has it set-up it sounds like.

Someone send this link over to the athletic director.... http://www.bloggingthebracket.com/2012/ ... events-MTEIt's a list of all the early season tourneys haha. Would be great to be in one with a good field to ensure you have a chance or two to knock off a good team. Even so, the OOC home slate sounds really good next year, NC State and Arkansas. I gotta believe they will travel to one or two tough places as well and that's probably a pretty good OOC schedule imo.

I think OSU (Ohio State) has a better chance than OSU (Okie State). Here is are my reasons.
1. Thad Matta has a good track for getting bigs to the NBA from Ohio State with Oden, Sullinger. etc.
2. Thad Matta has a good track record in starting freshman in the first game of the season.
3. Big Ten is a better hoops conference than the Big 12.
4. Ohio State will have a better team with Turner than Okie State since Smart will probably going pro.

Do know that SMU will not be in the Las Vegas Tournament, CBE Classic(Kansas City), the Battle for Atlantis (Bahamas), or the Maui Classic (Hawaii) They've announced the field for 2014/15, and SMU wasn't on any of the listings.

They've announced quite a few. They announced Maui as well.

We burnt our OV though back in the fall. He came in for the weekend the football team played Wisconsin. So it's an uphill battle now, plus I know for fact that he'd like to stay closer to home. If it wasn't for that, I think he'd already be committed to OSU but staying close to his family is really weighing on him. Either way, we desperately could use him, we're razor-thin on the front-line, he'd probably start right away or at least get a bunch of playing time. I like our chances but it's tough for any kid to leave Dallas for snow and cold.

Sorry Ohio State. I know he loved his OV. But players love every OV they go on, who wouldn't love great parties, free games, girls, ect.

I for one would love a home and home with SDSU Viejas Arena is an awesome basketball arena and San Diego is really behind the team. It's a hot ticket for a great team

Agree! Been to Viejas Arena on the SDSU campus for a concert. And it's an awesome facility.

It doesn't necessarily have to be SDSU, but you guys seem to understand what I'm saying. There's gotta be teams out there like that. Or a home and home with Nova, that would probably be a match-up that works. I think it's always going to be tough to draw a Carolina, Cuse, UCLA, Duke, ect to Moody giving that those teams don't get anything in return other than a possible loss. Not exactly enticing when they have somewhat brutal conference schedules. But the teams that need quality opponents in the OOC, like Zaga and Memphis, are much easier ones to snipe out for home games imo. Gonzaga always gets chastised about their SOS come Selection Sunday, but they can't get these bigger schools to travel to Spokane and quite frankly, I don't blame them for not wanting to go there and take a loss.

If we are playing a Kentucky, Duke, UNC or whoever, it is not going to be at Moody guys. Just get that out of your head right now. AAC or else they aren't coming.

I think our best shot at getting to play one of those guys is either a November/December tournament or THE tournament.

We should make Duke play us at the NHL arena in Raleigh if that's the case. Just kidding

I would be quite ecstatic if we got to play in Cameron. That would be a seriously difficult test. (And that is a great place to experience a game, too.)
