Didn't we get beat the last time we played in Denton when DeMyron Martin got hurt?

Stallion said. "What I can say without hesitation is that SMU's entire recruiting program is crap. People have been fired who never should have been hired. Others need to go now. It is so infested from the very top with laziness, bad strategy and poor performance that its time the entire staff needs to be rooted out and sent on their way."

I'm not surprised that recruits are looking at UTSA over SMU... Why? The UTSA coach will be there and they know JJ is gone after this year and they will likely get the heave ho from the new coach. 4 years at UTSA is preferable to 1 year at SMU.

The idea that anyone knows JJ will be gone after next year seems like guesswork, at best. A lot of people might want him gone, but it's hard to believe anything has been decided. A certain number of wins would bring him back, right? Another number would guarantee he's gone. And there are a lot of numbers in between those 2. At the very best (or worst, depending on how you look at it), it seems that all that can be said is he "might" leave. Huge difference.

I agree, How do we even know that there is a meaningless buyout? This admin doesn't give a crap about football and winning so what makes anyone think they would do something that makes sense? This is all just what we're guessing and praying for, but does anyone have any real proof?

June will be out after this season. We're not sniffing six wins with a harder OOC schedule and considerably less talent than last season

Even if we sniff 11 wins, he's leaving.

It is no secret how tight the coaching circle is, know matter what level. Even the hint of a college HC possibly leaving his respective program at the end of the year could scare off a recruit from committing. IMO

June Jones is a CANCER to our football program. End of story. I, being one of 1,000 fans (maybe) who come to every game will still be there..... But it is sad when my cheers will be for the other team at every game for the reason being I want this embarrassment of a "coach" gone. Just like his son said from the ASU shindig. "I'm so happy my dad is going to ASU and is officially leaving the worst school in the nation".... Sweet JJ.... June has had no interest in being at the head of this team for a long time. We need someone who is young and passionate that can get out there and recruit some players. Can you imagine how exciting the games would be if we had a Kliff Kingsbury getting out of control on the sidelines. He's one of those guys I'd sure as hell have a beer with.
Hell, Larry B #thegodfather is a relic (as far as age) but the guy is a god when it comes to recruiting. Yeah he has tons of experience, but the guy has an ability to just show an interest in a kid and make them realize they matter to the guy. It's not that difficult to go by someone's house and say hey, I'm a college head coach and thats pretty awesome, we're also at arguably a top 25 institution for every reason under the sun, we have some sexy girls on campus and plenty of jersey chasers who would show you a GREAT time in Dallas. Come here and lets get on the map.
I'm so tired of the garbage that's coming out of this program.... and lets just say... If June had a stroke while I was writing this..... I may have to give a slight fist pump....
Oh yea.. and to stay relevant. I like Jason Phillips, he's a great guy and a an impactful recruiter.

Sure wouldve been nice by the way to have Robert Lewis, Gabe Marks, Khalil Pettaway and all those other studs we had on the hook when June bent us over a table and had his way our hopes of coming back

Non issue. Marks is the only one of kids named who'll ever play meaningful college ball. And in order to refrain from starting another [deleted]-storm, I'll leave it at that. As far as I can tell, the only "stud" we lost from June's flirtation with AZ was that Printz kid who ended up at Mizzou. Not defending any of our myriad of other issues, just tired of the same old inaccuracies being brought up.

at a minimum we lost 2 of the very best young WRs in the PAC. You forgot Chris Harper too. (Career-111 catches 1396 yards). Marks-Career: 123 catches for 1367 yards. So 234 catches for 2763 yards)We don't know a thing yet about Robert Lewis (Former Los Angeles Area Player of the Year) because he greyshirted and then redshirted-should have 4 years to prove himself
