Well, I for one am totally impressed. By the team and the press coverage. However, being a long time Pony Fan, I am scared of getting my hopes up too high. Many crash and burns, bad lucks, etc. in our pasts. Love hearing the positive stuff though, and I have the feeling Larry may well pull it off.

Let's read between the lines. It is nice to see that we are starting a winning tradition at Home. As we all know winning cures all. Winning will bring media attention, recruits and fans.

Pretty Strong Stats for our SMU Mustangs
* 10-0 at Home
* 13th in the nation in points allowed (60pts/game)
* 16th in the nation in offensive field goal percentage (49%)
* 30th in the nation in rebounds per game (27 rebounds/game)
* On the fringe of being a Top 25 Basketball Team
* Strong possibility of making the NCAA Tournament
* National Media Attention
* National TV
* National Recruiting

Not exactly a "Mr. Obvious" post. Pony Up!

Should I feed the troll? Why not, I'm waiting on a return call before I leave the office.

Here's the deal StandUp, people who spend time on this board know SMU is undefeated at home this year. They also know that some of these games were played in Garland, not Moody.

Since national media coverage is posted on this site, they know the program is getting national attention. They are smart enough to correctly infer that winning supports recruiting. They know we have a realistic shot at making the NCAA tournament this year -- it's regularly mentioned on many of the threads, and even has it's own thread.

They know we are among the nation's best defensive teams, even without reading your statistics. They know that if they want granular statistical data, they can use Google, Bing, Yahoo Search or DuckDuckGo (my favorite since they don't share queries with data miners) to find what they are looking for.

So yes, it was a "Mr." Obvious post.

Your last post simply took everything that was in your first post and put it in bullet point form....

Max. Thanks for the heads up. If it even matters, I am not a troll, just an loyal SMU Alum. I guess since you know everything, there is really no need for anyone to make posts on ponyfans.com I am sure you knew all the stats before reading my post. You are the man! A much better man than me. Sorry that my posts bother you. If you want, I can run my posts by you before I make a post. Just kidding :)

Instead of you, blackoutpony, LA_Mustang and whoever else always finding it necessary to chime in and be so critical of my posts, how about keeping your "higher than thou" opinion to yourself. If you have an opinion that might add some value, great, I want to hear it! If you are just reading posts to rip me and others, why not do something else?

Why don't you keep your trolling to yourself in that case? I'm glad you can see that I can read, because apparently you can't. You started a thread titled "10-0 at Moody Coliseum" and anyone who pays attention to SMU or who even does the slightest bit of research knows we haven't played 10 games there.

SO you're either a troll who doesn't follow the program or an idiot who doesn't follow the program and has some phobia about the word and use of "google"

If you want "discussion", fine. We've only played one good team at "home" this year so far, and that was UConn. At worst, we should be 9-1. We'll see how good we actually are at MOODY once the better half of the AAC comes to town

There, you should be fed enough to live in your cave for a few more days :|

Innocent mistake titling a thread "10-0 at Moody Coliseum". I would figure that the any educated ponyfan could see that. So be it, I guess I should have titled the thread "10-0 at Home". (Since we played a few games in Garland) My mistake. Hope this makes you feel better. Hope that you can have a good weekend now. Considering that all our home games moving forward will be played at Moody, figured that was a given... :) You don't have to overanalyze every post that I make. Why my posts would be seen as trolling is beyond me. Oh well.

Do not waste your time with Blackout Pony! He is a hate lemming like his lover East Coast Mustang and their enabler Stallion and gang. What a load of crock they dare speak and foul this page with their rubbish!

I did not see anything wrong with the initial post. As we have more success hopefully people who have not followed the team as closely will come to the board so it is fine to have that information for them. Plus, even for those who live and breathe SMU there is nothing wrong with having it all in one place.

Agree with you Grant. Not anything shocking to those that follow the team closely, but likely new to the casual fan. Still a lot of room on the bus, I'd think. No need to tear down a passionate fan in the making.

Why are some on here so critical? There is a meanness to the posts. I knew what the initial post meant and yet some turn it into a vindictive rant against the poster. hat is rather sad.

( Now I assume I will be ranted against for this supportive post..well, have at it..I've been ranted before from much higher positions than this board :))
