Another scholarship

There has been some debate about where the scholarships will come from to sign the incoming class. There often is some kind of attrition because of various reasons (grades, homesick … whatever). Now there's another: Plano West LB Lance Cottrell says he has decided to go elsewhere.

Not good no matter how we might try to spin it. Lance was a local kid from a good school. Once June gets back from Hawaii maybe he can visit him in person. This was obviously not grades or homesickness as you would see in current player on the team that is transferring. Nice try at the sin or whatever. This is a recruit choosing another school over SMU.

Interesting, he doesn't list any other offers. Perhaps he plans to walk on at a P5 school.
