Yeah I was going off Scout's list Tuiasassopo isn't listed because he already enrolled I guess and Scout has Jeanyls as a WR which is what I remember from his video

Gotcha, I went off rivals list.

Goulbourne (sp?) said he met him because they're both from Florida and he was impressed by his size for a DB. I think I remember reading somewhere else that DB was the plan too.

Also, Goulbourne's rehab on his foot did not go well so he did not enroll early. Hopefully his rehab will go better over the next few months.

It is unacceptable to lose a recruit not to another program but simply because he does not want to come here.

No excuse, but it does seem kind of weird that we had 5 LB commits out of our limited number of defensive commitments.

Not saying this is the case in this instance at all. Before the flame wars start, I want to make it clear that I have no knowledge whatsoever of this kid's recruitment.

But I do know for a fact that in the past we have created more room in our recruiting classes by ceasing to "recruit" kids. In the one case I have firsthand knowledge of, a few years ago we were recruiting a kid who self-reported his size at 5'9, 155. When he showed up on the Hilltop, he was a tick under 5'7 and something like 135 lbs. So being that it's not politically correct to pull an offer once it's been accepted, we simply backed off this kid's recruitment and let another school "win" his services. This is a way to run a kid off without burning a bridge with a high school.

Again, I want to be clear that I have no knowledge of this particular case, but it wouldn't surprise me if the staff decided we needed to reshuffle the current recruiting class a bit. So I'm going to wait and see if Cottrell is replaced and by who. Personally, if I were in Jones' shoes and I'd put together a weak recruiting class, I would be scrambling to improve it wherever I could.

Well we have a reported 5'8 guy and a 5'9 guy in this class so here we go again. But oh well, our head coach was in Hawaii for the past few days so what does it matter.

Sounds like my guess might have been pretty close to the mark on this kid. When Klemm offered Lance two years ago, he was hoping to get the older brother Bryce in a package deal. What Klemm may have failed to realize is that the two brothers come from different gene pools, so Lance never blew up into the monster his older brother was. Here they are during their senior years in HS.

Mason offer Lance. Just like Mason offered Mason Gentry out of Plano West. That has ben his area for years. Stop the Klemm redactions.
