Brett uncovered improper grade changing at Dallas South Oak Cliff High School which resulted in the basketball team being stripped of its 2005 and 2006 state crowns.

Because E Man hasn't been admitted yet, right?
I didn't know if there were other PP kids. I remember PP had kids having problems getting players cleared this year, although I don't recall where those kids signed their LOIs.
Karviar Sheperd had been declared ineligible but TCU appealed and was declared eligible.

As stallion mentioned he covers disd and local government, I do not think he has a chip on his shoulder because he went to sfa and decided to go after SMU.
He has been a prominent investigative reporter in Dallas for quite awhile.

Totally agree. Sleazie media hack job. Thought Coach Brown handled it very well.

Ahhh thanks, I thought they got cleared but remember there being some controversy. Btw, do I get credit for tonight's win and the previous 5 or 6 since I said SMU should win against the bottom of the conference with my "prediction?" jk. Just trying to make sure that if I get blamed for jinxing SMU by saying they should beat a crap team that I also get credit when they win. Anyways, the team's looking good, didn't watch all the game but they looked good in the 2nd half. Was trying to watch the Indy and Nebraska games.

Agreed, he obviously has a source he is following up on, but to travel down to Houston to ask the question in a public press conference is the absolute wrong way to go about it.
Uncovering wrongdoing in the DISD is his job and I am sure he has a good network of informers. Nothing wrong with him doing his job. It was classless to get the ball rolling in a public press conference, but, if something wrong was done, it needs to be reported and dealt with.
As of about 15 minutes ago, I could not find any mention of B.S.'s story on the DMN or WFAA website. I assumed there would be at least some type of tease or promotional blurb. Being that he felt it important enough to travel to Houston and ask LB in person.
Shipp just tweeted that it involves grades at kimball, and said his story will be about what smu coaches knew about the situation. Made it sound like his story is broadcasting tonight
Stallion wrote:when Brett Shipp has done 20 stories about Prime Prep and DISD grade fixing/ "cheating scandals" it very much has to do with SMU when we recruit their players
Then go after Kentucky for recruiting PP kids. Oh that's right, WFAA is really not that interested.
