I guess since it was changed the same day as Coach Maligi's call they are trying to imply something.
Maligi asked kimball if there was any way to improve Keith's grade (shame on him for wanting his recruit to pass school) and the shipp himself said the kimball coach changes it. The attempt to tie smu into this a ratings ploy, we have no connection whatsoever
In addition, the reason the calls happened on supposedly the same day as the grade was changed is probably because kimball got worried that smu would pull the scholarship from keith in order to avoid violations
Bizarre, really. It's an interesting story, journalistically, with the DISD coach cover up. Brazen and all documented. It's like that wasn't good enough and he wanted to take KF out at SMU. How did that get past a lawyer with them implying the SMU connection?
Notice wfaa doesn't have the balls to let a sports reporter touch this story. Why? Because they know it is Tenuous at best.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
So, the worst is Coach Magili called to see how Keith could raise his grades? I say good going! News flash, grades for athletes are changed at a lot of high schools . Been going on for years. Not saying that it is right but come on, you live in Texas.
Did anyone else notice how he said Frazier surprisingly picked SMU to attend college? Inferring that he may have chose SMU because they helped get his grade changed. He didn't mention that he could've chose SMU to play for a hall of fame coach.
SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs

If anything this speaks to the quality of our academic support system for athletes. Keith couldn't pass at kimball (supposedly), but here he was able to pass in a much more rigorous academic program
Shipp is a [deleted]. We should sue his [deleted] just for his implications.
I can't think of any other university that is disliked as much in their own city as we are. The scum that have been granted some voice for whatever reason come out of now when we are finally being relevant again in a key revenue sport.

Let's turn this into motivation, see what shipp's reaction is when we make a tourney run.
I'm going to see what he's got tomorrow night before passing judgment on the story. He's broken some good stories before. On the other hand, a couple of years back, he and WFAA were touting a scandal involving high school football coaches improperly monitoring summer workouts or 7 on 7. It was so, so weak, and nothing ever came from it. Still, his success rate is pretty good.
I don't have to wait to say the press conference deal was [deleted], though.
