I think they'll stay quiet unless it gets a little bigger and a lot more specific. Just my impression.

They should ignore him. There is a reason Shipp flew to Houston. To ambush brown, to over inflate a nothing story. Don.t punch down. brown knows this so I expect him to react according. I love how Brown ended his press conference after the ambush.

I doubt it. What we will get at max is a general statement denying anything he says and I don't think that happens unless he comes out with something way more specific.

Damn right. It was pretty clear who came out looking like the bigger man. Not that I'd have expected any less from Larry Brown.

It takes a lot more than "coach Maligi called kimball about grades" in order to get the attention of smu officials or the NCAA.

The question is how will this affect local recruiting. I hope not too many recruits saw this.

Not sure how this is a negative for SMU. Would have been worse had we not recruited KF or gave up in him.

Hansen had a story about the win over Houston but no mention of this. Interesting.

Player went on to a decent NFL career and was good enough that I recognized his name as would over 80%+ of people who followed NFL football in the early '80's would have.
Failing him impacted his eligibility, so teacher was approached by coaching staff. At first they were nice and offered premium tickets 'carrot approach'. Later they tried more of the 'stick' approach. As this intensified, teacher felt faculty in his department did not really really have his back. Eventually he had a sit-down with the player. Said player couldn't have been a nicer person. In the end he gave him a passing grade because he didn't want to jeopardize the kid's future.
Keith Frazier stands to earn so much more $ than virtually every single Kimball graduate that school has ever produced, even if his wages come from Europe and not the NBA. Personally can't say I fault anyone at Kimball for helping KF pursue his dream. Changing one grade, in the grand scheme of things, is a non-story IMO.
Black youth unemployment approaching 40%, now that's a story.
Damn, SoCal_Pony NAILED it! My new favorite poster. GREAT post, bro!

Coming up next on 6:30 am news. Did DISD change his grades so he could play for SMU?

I am sure he has kids with low grades call him as well because he complains about admissions. There is absolutely nothing even slightly funny about this situation. Not trying to throw a rock at you because I know you are a good guy but having seen first hand the DP stuff just sayin. But this should pass over I think. Let's hope so anyway.
