Move on

Postby Smu97186 » Mon Jan 27, 2014 12:56 am

This whole situation is an attempted ratings boost by wfaa and shipp, by stressing about it we are doing exactly what they want, giving it attention. Based on the info presented by shipp, smu has no valid connection to a grade change, and is in no trouble whatsoever unless further evidence is given. I'm done talking about it

I've never seen so many care about a meaningless question in a press conference. The whole situation is being dissected, analyzed, and perused way too much over something that matters so little in the grand scheme of things. If there was this much effort put into finding a way to sell out Moody every game, it'd be the best home court advantage in college sports lol.

You could understand, I'm sure, why SMU fans are a little sensitive of journalists sniffing around. Our track record is. ..unpleasant

QFE

No kidding. Plus, I think we were all a little "worked up" after that Houston game anyway.

Makes a bit more sense lol, but still. This is peanuts compared to what I witnessed from the 30 for 30. I can definitely understand the resentment from those ahole journalists if it's the same place that blew up the party first go-around. I have a feeling LB has a handle on the situation though (I hope at least) and I'm looking forward to the next game. Hell, I got my little brother rooting for the Ponies now, watches games all the time and texts me. Very likable team from afar and he's a Dukie. His comment today was "I hope they don't draw Duke or OSU in the NCAA tourney because I don't want to root against them."

Funny too, he assumed they'd be in the tourney and he's about as unbiased as you could possibly be and has nothing tied to the team other than watching them because I do. I thought that was interesting that he sees them as a tourney team and he knows his basketball, I hadn't even said a thing about the tournament prior other than they hadn't been to the Big Dance in 20 years cause he asked how long it had been since they'd been there.
