lol, I remember when people questioned whether Legends would sell that place out at the beginning of the year. Obviously helps that the team is playing well but when you got over 6K tickets sold for Hofstra, that's way more than just the team helping. Will be interesting to see how the athletic department does once they get the ticketing handed back over to them at the end of the year. I know the Legends team is moving on to USC, 49ers, ect.

Selling out has almost zero to do with Legends as they were here last year as well. And for you to come on the board and imply that is an insult to the team, students, and those that contributed to remodeling Moody. The bulk of the credit has to go to the team doing well and The New Moody opening up. If we are still winning when Legends leaves we will keep on trucking. Student lining up at 7am was not due to Legends.

I don't think you fully understand how selling ticket works no offense. I'm not going to argue it but they wouldn't be sold out for games without selling the amount of season tickets the did, the promotions they ran (3 for 60, let it ride, ect), group tickets that went on behind the scenes, the brokers, ect. And yes, they are in a great position now because there is a great season ticket holder base now. You don't just sell 2k tickets on game week no matter who they play. Indiana's ticket office would have a hard time doing that. So there's a tremendous amount of work well before. Like I said, Hofstra is a prime example. That stadium was maybe half-full, yet 6K tickets were sold. That's outstanding. They also did an outstanding job last year considering the team and the record.

While I agree that a lot of it goes to the new building and the team, crap games should not be near sell-outs and it looks like almost every game from here on out will be sold-out from what I'm being told.

Is SMU not-tripping with Legends? Legends has a ton of clients now and presumably would remain in a role with SMU if SMU so chose

95% the credit goes to the team, the building, and the students. And on signing a top recruiting class gives excitement for buying tickets as well. It has been noted in the past on the Legends screw ups. But Legends is not the majority of the reason for the sellouts. Take that mess back to Ohio and sit on it. As long as we win we will do in tickets sales.

Why is Legends 'moving on?' They are a global brand. I saw them in Manchester last week where they run hospitality for Etihad Stadium.

Last year we sold a bit more tickets because Coach Brown came here and there was excitement about the first year of him being here that not mostly because of Legends.

OKC,

I've seen several scalpers out front of Moody in these first handful of games. You shouldn't have a problem getting some tickets.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Well, you can only sell so much. That's how many of these places work. These guys come in, turn things around, and move on to new opportunities. USC is in bad shape with ticket sales right now, so that is why they are a prime target. Nothing to do with SMU but once you sell the suites and stuff at Moody, there's not much more money to make. They get paid commissions. When you're in ticket sales, you move on. I knew a bunch of guys at the Cowboys when Jerry's World first opened, 95% of those guys left. Now it's just renewels, so they will turn it over to the athletic department and I would assume they would train students and pay them peanuts on hourly as opposed to commission. The suites and corporate sales would obviously still reside under a higher-up, but the regular sales will be no different then the guy working the ticket window on game day. And yeah, they are all over the place, would be a cool company to work for imo. USC has a great opportunity, and I know Legends is trying to add suites and premium seats to the Coliseum, meaning big money/commissions.
