Well our team certainly does. I for one think it's fun to play "what if" from the bleachers.

They ripped em. ND in a tail-spin since they lost their best player. Not sure Brey can right that ship, it's sinking quick.
Re: Who to root for tonight (to boost RPI)Need to root for Arkansas and A&M to win all season. . . But, both teams are fading so fast in the SEC. Don't see much improvement for the rest of the season
2015 INDIANAPOLIS OR BUST
Re: Who to root for tonight (to boost RPI)Dumb question: so is our RPI impacted by what the RPI of the team was WHEN WE PLAYED THAT TEAM or where they are when our "final" RPI is set when tournament select evaluations are done?
Re: Who to root for tonight (to boost RPI)
It's a moving piece all year. So for example, let's say Arkansas is #61 or something. If at the end of the year they are #43, they would bolster our RPI. RPI is not impacted by when you played them.

And honestly, it's a minute piece of the puzzle what other teams RPI is. One of our past opponents wins, another loses, doesn't matter much. The only way to really improve your RPI dramatically is to keep winning. That's the quickest way for it to rise or fall. It's interesting to follow, but it will drive you up a wall rooting for teams every night.

Re: Who to root for tonight (to boost RPI)We lay many more turds like we did last night and it won't matter what our past opponents do.

Re: Who to root for tonight (to boost RPI)I have continually said that as long as Arkansas was mentioned in the same breath as SMU we needed Arkansas to lose. To heck with the RPI. If it is us or them, they beat us. But it appears that Arkansas is going to prove my preseason prediction of lower half of the SEC so we should be ok from their standpoint. Now we just need to win games.
As a side note, local Arkansas sports show today opened their program with the Roy Orbison classic "It's Over". All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
