Probably because you did the right thing and made sure your tickets were used when you could not make the game. They are definitely tracking which seats are scanned.

I think the content of said email was posted in another thread - the email did stress how easy it was to transfer your tickets to someone else via email.

This is the content from SMU to the 'red seats':

Dear Mustang Fan,

Thank you for your enthusiastic support of SMU basketball and for being a club seat patron. The first few home games in New Moody have provided a great atmosphere and home-court advantage for our Mustangs and it should only get better as we anticipate multiple sell-outs heading into February and March.

We do want to take this opportunity to remind you that every SMU game is televised to a national audience and ask for your assistance in making sure that every seat in the Club area (sections 102-106) is full. If you cannot attend a game or if you have seats in multiple locations within Moody, please encourage your friends, family, business associates, etc. to utilize your club seats or contact your development representative in the Mustang Club so that we can redistribute unused seats.

If you wish to share your tickets with friends, you may log into your ticket account where you will find the option of forwarding tickets via email to anyone you choose without having to physically transfer the tickets.

We want to continue to make Moody a tough place to play and show our student-athletes that we are behind them by filling every available seat!

Again, thank you for your loyalty and support. Pony Up and Go Mustangs!

I saw a tired team last night. Also, I wouldn't discount the added distraction of the Shipp story and two consecutive road games. A mid-week road game from Dallas to Tampa is kind of difficult. I think we all still need to remember just how young this team is in terms of it playing together. We will have some growing pains this season. This was our first truly bad loss. I have every confidence in the world that Larry Brown will have this team focused, re-energized, and motivated to play against Memphis on Saturday. See ya'll at Moody.
Back off Warchild seriously.

still a young team, on the road - very good point. Coach Brown is the best teacher in the game and these guys are gonna learn a lot from this loss. Sometimes you learn more from a loss than you do from a win. This will make them a better team for the tough games coming up, the conference and NCAA tournaments.

also something happened regarding nic moore. he looked very upset about something. this is a pure guess but i think he was upset that he was being physically abused by usf and nothing was called. lb talked to him and he sat out awhile during the second half when we really could have used him.

A loss will always point out the flaws in your game.

On a drive he was fouled and got no call. He said something to the ref and got a tech (btw, I have no idea what he said but it didn't look bad). Shortly after scoring again, he showed a lot of emotion. He could have easily received a second tech, so LB took him out of the game to explain to him what almost happened. He put him right back in at the next dead ball.

I thought the refs were terrible yesterday. I mean a guy a guy falls down on his face, and they call a foul on Kennedy. They got bailed out on a lot of calls; all the calls that could have gone one way or another always seemed to go USF's way. When the game was close, I also remember we made a close basket, our guy was fouled, and it should have been a +1, but nothing was called, we sat around looking at the refs, and they came back and scored a basket, and then teh careless Kennedy turnover, which gave them the lead for good.

Not saying they didn't outhustle us, but those two-grey haired refs really seemed biased.

Were there some questionable calls? Sure. But honestly, we've been on the good side of the bad calls more often than not this season.

Bottom line: we played worse than the refs officiated.

Home teams tend to get the bias, especially in college basketball. We were beneficiaries of that at home these last couple of games (e.g. the BS foul/tech combo against Hofstra). If we didn't come out flat, we would have overcame the standard home court bias. With our crappy play, it just made it worse. This loss changes nothing in my book. If we go out and win a couple of our marquee games and take care of the rest of the games we should win, we are in the tourney, just like before the USF loss. Get loud at Moody and the team should come out strong. Memphis has a tendency to get rattled when they are in hostile environments - Lets do our best to make that happen.

If you blame the refs for our loss, then you are missing the bigger picture of why we lost.
Rebounding, rebounding, rebounding.
We've done it all season, but failed miserably last night.
Please don't turn into the Arky fanbase that blames everyone but themselves.
