Mathematically challenged. Tennessee has 34 commitments

How do you even sign 34 commits? 25 max + backcounting 5 EE's + 4 greyshirts?

The Sports Illustrated article on Okie State explains it best on how to work-around the scholarship limits. Basically ways would include going to NFL early, Medical scholarships, not helping players in the classroom who aren't contributing to the team and therefore becoming academically ineligible, transfers, abusing individual players verbally and physically so they quit, helping the better players to stay eligible when in trouble with the law or campus/team regulations while dismissing other players for even the slightest infraction, telling current players they can keep their scholarship but they will never play.

Tennessee is going to end up burning some bridges with this class. They continue to accept commitments when, in reality, they can't actually sign them all.

The SEC's rule is that you can only sign 25 in one class but signees that would count against a previous year's class are basically unlimited. From what I've been told, they can take 29 this year (25 that count for the 2014 class and 4 that count for the 2013 class).

That is still going to leave them with at least 5 that they have to cut loose or talk into greyshirting.

Arkansas just dropped 2 Louisiana recruits a week before signing date-both are visiting TCU this weekend.

The new NCAA rule wull only allow you to sign 25.

You can definitely "sign" more than 25, you just have to move them around a bit. Look at the size of some ofthe top classes on Rivals right now
