This is Jon Killen. A Couple things:

1. I'd love to have my jersey back! I have no idea which version you have because I could swear my parents had all my game uniforms buried in the family closet

2. On the off chance that this was available for merchandise, you must have been the last person in line after my teammates (Derrick & Hop) jerseys's were sold out. However, this definitely strengthens my chance to join any class action against the NCAA for profiting off my blood sweat and tears on the Moody Coliseum floor! I've been angling for a chance at a $12 check since 08

3. Again, I'd love to my jersey back. I am willing to play you in a game of HORSE. Should I lose, I have a few pairs of practice shots from the Jimmy Tubbs era that any true Mustang fan needs in their memorabilia collection.

4. @Ponyphi07 - it is perhaps worthless in a monetary sense...unless its the home game jersey from my Senior Night - because that has Derrick Rose's MVP blood on it! If the Memphis and Bulls fans knew about this, MAN!

5. While i'm here, I'll be happy to sign any copies of NCAA Basketball 2K5-2K8.

I hope you are joking about hoping to get something from the NCAA / EA lawsuit.

You should have received a product valued at close to $200,000 for playing hoops at SMU.

That's what I thought. That lawsuit filed by Ed O'Bannon sickens me. O'Bannon must have blown through his $4 Million that he got when he signed his first contract and now wants more. His name was never in the video games - but because there was a player in the game on the UCLA squad who was same height and color of skin, he wants to cash in.

Killen, assume you work with Stacey L. (finance) at your company. Good people.

I don't think anyone is faulting Bighorse, at least I hope not. But if Jon would like the jersey for his memorabilia, IMO he should have the opportunity to obtain it. Hopefully something can be worked out

Of course something can be worked out, I am making it available to whoever would

like to buy it.

This is absurd. Jon Killen represented SMU basketball well when he was here. My time at SMU overlapped with his. Utmost respect for the guy. Our history isn't worth nothing just because there were a lot of low points for the team.

Damn right. The game where Jon Killen and SMU almost knocked off Derrick Rose and Memphis is still one of my favorite experiences as an SMU fan. Not to mention Jon is just a good guy and has always represented SMU well.

Was there & AGREE!!!

@Tristate coog - YUP! I work with Stacy. Great guy

@PonyTime - My post, while written in jest, does (like all jest?) have truth in it. I hope that if the class action suit is successful, that I am apart of that class. As of today, the NCAA does not even allow for scholarships up to the cost of attendance. Unlike many athletes, I was fortunate to have parents that could afford the roughly $2000/year in costs that are not covered in our tuition/board aid packages. I made the most of my "free" education, and probably got the better end of the deal at SMU. Nevertheless, the NCAA is a sham non-profit, and I'll be in line for my $12. *I've already benefited in $6k for graduate school expenses via the White v. NCAA case. **I'm pretty sure I was white w/red hair in NCAA 2k4, but they got my shooting percentage correct at the "Terrible" setting.

@Big Horse - Lets chat! Thats my senior year home jersey. I definitely don't blame you for scooping that at the athletics garage sale. If anyone, I'd blame SMU Athletics. They have my address and phone # whenever they want to sell a ticket package, but maybe I missed the message on this.

NCAA is corrupt and should be sued on a number of fronts. I am one who thinks that there should be a meaningful stipend for student athletes for the exact reason that you state. Glad that you have some grad school expenses taken care of through this. And your education was definitely not free - you put a lot of work on and off the court into that.

BTW - I am the guy wearing red pants in the first row next to the stunning blonde on Coach K College basketball for Sega Genesis in 1995.

I love this thread. Not only do we get the great Jon Killen we get some excellent college sports debate. Love the 1995 graphics.

Jon, you come to any games?
