I think we will easily be 5k+, I was hoping we might be able to turn this into a sell out with the late start time, end of football, and an opponent with name recognition. There is a buzz about this team as a lot of people first looked at SMU with their game against Memphis and saw something pretty cool. I personally heard from 6 people who went/saw the Memphis game and were blown away and now want to come back to moody for more.

That said I think temple is bad enough record wise and people are looking forward to Cincy that we don't get to the sell out. Either way moody will be rocking.

Temple is bad this year but they are still a big name in college basketball. Hell, they've made six straight NCAA tournament appearances. I think they will bring some non-SMU bball fans out. It'll be a big game for Markus being a Philly kid.

Hope the students are out in full force. No reason they shouldn't be.

The good thing is we don't have to worry about attendance here on out. Hell, Hofrstra was pretty crowded... the red seats are the only question mark but I don't see it from where I am sitting.

6K will be in the house. SMU basketball is an event now. I've got people calling me asking me where they get extra tickets at least twice a day. These requests are from people who I'm pretty sure barely knew where Moody was on campus five years ago.

Announce to the students that standing room only tickets will be given out on a first come, first serve basis and then let them in the student section once the game begins to fill in these areas as well as the upper regions................

BTW, I had a few hours to burn in Philly once and decided to walk around the Temple area. I walked fast.

judging by this thread, they aren't the smartest bunch. They think the AAC is awful and will only get worse when Rutgers leaves  . Rutgers. They also apparently think they can get in the ACC. Hey Temple, perhaps it is you that is bringing down the conference...

Student sections will be pretty full, and like it was said earlier, it will be rocking because thursday is a big party night for the students. Not sure about the red seats. My assumption is that they will be about 50% full . Should be a good game for us though. Just hoping we don't overlook them and play crappy because of Cinci.
