Frasier improvement...Just a heads-up that Frasier has slowly got his 3-pt shooting percentage up to 34. That's not too bad...and if he can work it up close to 40% by the end of the year, that would be fantastic. Maybe some statistics guru can chime in where the advantage is between 2-pt and 3-pt percentage is, but I've always thought once you get on the north side of 35% that is a good thing!
Re: Frasier improvement...Shooting 34% from the three generates the same number of points as shooting 51% from the two -- on 100 shots: 68 points from the two, 102 from the three.
You also have the added benefit of spreading the defense so Markus can go 10 for 10.

not Frasier. ![]()
Re: Frasier improvement...What's ironic is that Frazzzzzzzzier's defensive efficiency is significantly better than his offensive efficiency. The schemes/nuances on defense are a lot harder to master than offensive schemes, so it's promising to see.
With regards to his 3p %, you know it's going to continue to creep up as he gets most open looks for Nic, Nick, Ryan and SB's penetration into the lane. It wouldn't surprise me if it crept up to 38-40% by year end. http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/sch ... /2014.html OFF EFF: Offensive Efficiency - the number of points a team scores per 100 possessions. DEF EFF: Defensive Efficiency - the number of points a team allows per 100 possessions "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: Frasier improvement...Frazier does seem like it's slowly starting to click for him. I'd like to see him move off the ball a bit better on offense so he can also get some open 2 point shots, and he still sometimes ball watches on defense and let's guys drift to wide open behind the arc. I'm sure LB rides him about this all the time and he will improve more and more as time goes by.
Re: Frasier improvement...I think it will keep trending up, but to get to 40% by the end of the regular season he would have to shoot 55% in the remaining games assuming he kept shooting ~3.5 per game. That seems like a lot to expect.
Of course, if he is shooting that well he probably shoots more than he has been. If he shot 5 per game in the remaining games he would need to shoot 50% to get to 40% for the season.
Re: Frasier improvement...I also love that over the last couple of games he is beginning to put the ball on the floor. It hasnt resulted in too much at the rim but that is just a matter of time especially if his 3's are falling.
Pony up!!!
Re: Frasier improvement...Credit to Frazier. His defense is improving and he is starting to take the ball to the basket. Good signs! I think I can remember that he even made it to the free throw line a couple of times in the past few games. He is automatic from the free throw line and we all know that he can shoot the three ball. Know that we are rooting for you Frazier! Keep moving forward. Big things happening on the Hilltop. Pony Up!

No, you are wrong... it is Keeeeeeeeeeeeith
Re: Frasier improvement...
Correct sir!
Re: Frasier improvement...Keeith!
Re: Frasier improvement...For some reason I think Keith is going to lose the ball every time he puts it on the floor. He dribbles so high and is very loose with it.
My bad....My bad! Keeeith FraZier!!!! If I was announcing the game, I would be tempted to yell! "Down goes Fraaazier" whenever he hits a big three!
![]() Other benefits of success from the three point line include demoralizing the opponent and being able to quickly recover from a deficit, if that should happen.
