Everyone wants to say that this has been done already. Understood. Point is that this may have been attempted, but must have been unsuccessful. Probably lots of reasons. Bad timing. Done when we were not winning. Poor execution.

OBF said it best, most fans outside of Texas (I would probably say outside Dallas) do not know that SMU is in Dallas. We all need to accept this simple fact. It is time to identify SMU as Dallas's Team. I live in Houston and I never heard of the "so called" marketing plan that was attempted a few years ago.

If TCU can be Fort Worth's Team there is no reason that SMU cannot be identified with Dallas's Team. We are a winning program, starting to gain national recognition and pub. The time is now!

Credit to whoever put the SMU red, white and blue lettering on Reunion Tower and one other building on Dallas after our win. Having "Dallas, TX" on the floor at Moody is a start. That is what I am talking about! Maybe Hart has a marketing background and he can come up with a better marketing plan for SMU. If not, why not have some brilliant Marketing Professor at the Cox School of Business start a project or have a competition to all business school students "SMU is Dallas's Team"?

I'm excited that June is going to be the football coach next year. With all the recruiting restrictions he had at Hawaii, can you imagine the players he can bring to the hilltop?
