Honestly, I wanted to start a "Eat A Salad, clap-clap clap-clap-clap" chant whenever Dominic Woodson, #15 of Memphis was on, but that is pretty obscene.

There has never been a chant that is vulgar at moody... let the students do our thing. If you want to start your own chants come back and get your MBA or something so you can sit in the student section and join The Mob.

don't know what happened to the "left, right, left, right, left, right... sit down!" chant when a player walks to the bench after 5 PFs but I did that one when Shaq fouled out last game.

SMU Band invented that chant in the 90's. I did it at Memphis game but there was so much going on I think it got lost in the excitement.

Also I think he sat down right as our guy was shooting, so it was probably good that it petered out.

When he got back to the bench, he was on to us, so he stood through both free throws and a little after that to let everyone lose attention. When he did finally sit down, I screamed it (I sit about 10 feet from their bench on the floor), and he looked right at me, pointed, laughed, and said I got him. I counted it as a moral victory.

Stop trying to manage the students. They're doing a great job, they're having a good time. Let them chant whatever they want.

It is not managing...it is teaching. I think the students are doing a great job. That being said, there is something to ingenuity.

just got an email from Larry himself about cheering the right way haha :D

Dear Students-

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for helping us create Moody Magic and for turning Moody Coliseum into one of the best homecourt advantages in college basketball. Your support has been truly amazing.

I also wanted to remind you that, in your role as fans, you represent SMU. Without dampening your enthusiasm, I must ask that you refrain from using any foul language or other inappropriate actions at games. Cheer for SMU – not against our opponents. Our players “Play the Right Way” and as our 6th Man, I would like you to “Cheer the Right Way” and represent our basketball program and our institution with class.

With two games this week and other big games on the horizon, I look forward to seeing you again at Moody. Thanks again for your tremendous support.

Play the right way, cheer the right way. Be smart. Did anyone happen to notice during the Memphis game when the east baseline section of students started to cheer over-rated the first time Coach Brown waived them off. At the time, I was not sure if he thought it was simply to early in the game for that or what. I guess, now we know.

"No means no", while amusing, probably didn't represent what Larry wants from the fans either...

Saturday's chant for Cincinnati needs to be: "We want Elijah.. . . Hearing he will be in attendance for his 3rd SMU game this season

Perhaps they could replace "Over Rated" with the more pro-SMU "Under Rated!" chant.
