Very similar to the famous "avuncular" letter from President Terry Sanford to the Cameron Crazies in 1984. Thus sparking the "We Beg to Differ" cheer instead of "Bullsh*T", or my favorite "I'm Blind. I'm Deaf. I Wanna be a Ref!" which I have tried to start from the old fart seats on occasion, without much response.



What I really want to know is that if I try to be the "Crazy Towel Lady" in Moody would the students respond like they do to the Crazy Towel Guy at Duke, or would they just look at me like I am actually crazy.

Love this letter and love the Cameron Crazies. (Moreso than the team they represent.)

I think we can have a dominant home court advantage without going "lowest common denominator", but our fandom will evolve over time.

Right now I'm just happy to see fans and students at the game; they call yell/chant whatever the [deleted] they want.

Haha students started the "Na Na Na Na..Goodbye" final minutes of Temple game and LB turns to me and my friends and tells us to start chanting S-M-U. We all see how well that worked out

Love Larry, but if this happened in the Cincy game I would happily join in. I understand the Temple game because they are simply not good

Whether you want to buy it or not, fact is SMU is a hated school and fan base by many. Viewed by many/most (that know the school exists) as an arrogant and entitled group of Buffys and Clauds. Why wipe a big booger on HCLB's efforts by reinforcing the stereotype?Cheer hard, not arrogant. Just my two cents and worth what you paid.
