I am asking him since he said all the hard questions were asked. Waiting on a response.

Where did he say all the hard questions were asked? I might have missed it.

Regardless, as he pointed out, there was an opportunity to ask questions and if no one asked a question you think should have been asked you have no one to blame but yourself.

Well, I figured with all the FTHP-like posts you put on these boards, and the clear interest you have in JJ recruiting, you'd have gone and asked some of these "hard" questions yourself. Instead, seems like all of this is just post count padding by regurgitating the comments from other threads.

I blame myself. JasonB, you do bring up a lot of good points in your "thoughts"post.

I thought that the passive versus aggressive recruiting question was pretty much targeted at June and the staff not actively visiting high schools.

I didn't. I thought sounded more like a how aggressive you are in dealing with the recruits not necessarily visiting high schools and developing relationships with the coaches.

Looking back the past 4-5 years in recruiting it has gotten worse every year since the departure of Clem. Is this all on June and his lack of effort or does some of the blame land on the admissions policies/academic exceptions etc. etc? If I remember correctly the year Clem left for UCLA was the same year that the three partial qualifiers (summer school kids) were told they got in but the school reneged or their admission. I wonder if that is why his efforts are poor. He doesn't want to fight with the admissions folks.

When watching his press conference, it was clear he didn't even know the players that he had just signed. "That Mitchel kid. The brown kid. That kid from some high school who plays well". With the exception of the Army Prep LB from Hawaii. Oh yes, June knew all about him and where he was from on the island and basically got a boner because he was from Hawaii.

It's so obvious he cares so little for recruiting and SMU. I would say he should go back to the NFL so he doesn't have to do that, but his offense has been garbage while at SMU expect for last year when Mumme basically fixed it for him.

Just stop. Not hating JJ does not mean nepotism. So he disagrees with you -- chances are the truth is somewhere between what the sunshiners see and what the hate mongers see.

Yes, just stop ...

... that is, stop: a) using the word "hater", permanently, and b) accusing those who criticize the recruiting or coaching of June Jones (and the mediocre results thereof) of hate mongering or "hating" .

June just sucks at coaching and recruiting. EOS!
