No one says you cannot praise and criticize, but you don't have to be personal as to the student-athletes. Again, does it make you feel like more of a man to put someone down that you, yourself could not possibly do?

Please post when calallen said something personal about Head. I bet you won't. But keep digging your hole.

Regarding point 4, you'll read far worse criticisms of players on the basketball message boards at Duke, KU, Ohio State, Kentucky, etc. Doesn't seem to negatively affect their recruiting at all. So don't worry about that, Bickle.

Which is to say, no purpose but to stroke your arrogant ego.

Regarding your comment to point 4, you must live by 2 wrongs make a right.

How is talking about the team "stroking [my] arrogant ego?"

No, I don't live by that maxim. I don't believe that criticism of play by fans is wrong. And I'm not sure how you get 2 wrongs out of what my comment describes.

Cal, you're more than welcome to tell me to F off, but I'd drop it. You're generally very fair and balanced. No need to chase this one down the rabbit hole.

I'll be honest: I've said that Head is "just bad" and asked "Why does Crandall ever see floor time?"

If that's being personal, I think we need a new standard for what is personal and what isn't.

Where did he say he had been personal? What is the point of this board if not to discuss the team/players good or bad?

You're probably right, CMF. I just see too many parallels between this guy and our old pal, Travis Bickle, who once said that we couldn't criticize Matt Doherty on this board because his kids were being made fun of in school. He would belittle what makes SMU great - our die-hard fans, both old and new - to advance his own agenda.

And why would I tell you to F off? You're a great poster. Keep on keeping on.
