The reception given the Tulane football players by the folks near us on The Blvd. left me a good memory that far overshadowed any bad football feelings last night. The folks across from us shook the hand of every player as they passed by, telling them "Welcome!" and "We're glad you're here!" Some of the the players even camped out at the tent of our resident Mesquito fighter and watched TV. I don't think those kids expected that sort of treatment. They were a bit wide-eyed at first. Then their faces really lit up. Well Done! folks.
