Scott Drew did not become a bad coach overnight. Don't forget Texas supporters were calling for Rick Barnes head after last season.

It's not that surprising that Drew is drawing heat. He is a well known great recruiter but mediocre to poor coach. With the level of talent he has brought in they should have banners hanging in their arena if he could actually get them to play fundamental good team basketball.

I think so too. Part of the perfect storm scenario playing out on the Hilltop. I just wonder what Jank's future looks like.

I wish I believed you. But I'm going to enjoy each and every minute until he leaves.

And when he does, I'll still be grateful and the biggest Larry Brown fan **ever**.

Without him they are fighting TCU to stay out of the cellar. He may not maximize the talent he gets, but no one else would have had as much success as he has had at Baylor based on the circumstances surrounding the program prior to his arrival. I really do hope our fan base never turns on Coach Brown, but it would not surprise me. People are very ugly!

Will he stay on for the possibility of taking over the reigns in five years?

I assumed they're just angry because they realized they live in Waco and go to that pukepile of a school.

Doubtful since he'll be 60 in 5 years and the way we're trending he'll have plenty of HC offers in the interim.

I agree. And he's said numerous times that he's more suited to college because of his love to teach.

I agree. However, the only way I think he bolts is if we do something to pizz him off. Let's hope RGT, in all his infinite wisdom, doesn't do something stupid from an admin perspective and let's hope that the fans keep showing up no matter what, because if the fandom dwindles, I see that as something that could make him upset.

Betterhalf and I were talking about the prospect of Larry Brown leaving for "greener pastures." Here is my thought. Larry has done everything he can in basketball but build a program from nothing. This rebuilding project is the only thing that is not on his resume. Because of that, I personally do not see him leaving anytime soon. Now if he gets crossways with the administration, then I could see him bolting. I could also see him hanging it up if he wins a NC. Needless to say, we are on the cusp of something extremely special. Exciting times to be a Mustang.

I completely agree. It's the only thing he hasn't done which is why he's here at all. He had no ties to us at all other than we were the situation he was looking for.

Also, I think if he wins an NC (holy crap, what a thought) and retires, everyone will be very ok with that. haha
