In light of our recent success at New Moody, our basketball program faces an ongoing issue with school sprit. For whatever reason, some students believe a COSTUME PARTY accurately represents SMU's school spirit. Due to our recent breach of AP's Top 25 poll, SMU is beginning to receive large amounts of publicity leaving us at risk for scrutiny. As a concerned member of the SMU community, I beg these fans, who misrepresent our school in a negative manner, to put to rest these ridiculous outfits. We encourage their enthusiasm and excitement, but hope they can wear the traditional red and blue colors with pride. Please support SMU the right way, and STANG EM!!!

The costumes don't bother me one bit. Adds personality to the group and adds to the overall entertainment experience. They cheer just as loud as the other kids. If it does not offend the Godfather, then I'm good with it.

I absolutely do not care what kids wear. Go back to the Bravo channel. When we do the Louisville white-out, I hope they put a white shirt over the lobster outfit, but if they don't, I won't care. I'll be glad that he's been wearing that stinky crab outfit for the last 2 years and attending.
