This is his first year playing basketball since 2009, when he was a senior in high school. Drafted by the Rangers and played in their organization. 6'9", 260, 23 years old.

Good, not great stats -- 9.6 pts pg, 6.4 reb pg, 1.2 blk pg.

Apparently has lots of potential -- offers include Oregon, Pitt, FL State, NM, Tech.

Very interesting offer. Hasn't played much basketball and have yet to offer Atwood. Interesting. I certainly trust LB so he must have seen something ... Offer just seems out of the blue ..,

Reminds me of a raw Markus: same listed height/weight and gets to the rim

Watching his full highlight reel it seems he's got some nasty to him with soft hands and some solid post moves both hands. Wonder what hoopmanx thinks or anyone else who knows how to evaluate (I don't).

Recruiting is relative to your competition. Have Louisville, Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, UNC, and UCLA offered? If not, then he is a diamond in the rough for us.

I don't believe any of our current freshmen had offers from those schools. But they all had P5 offers. Pitt, Oregon, and FSU are all serious P5 hoops offers.

I think a key point is that he hasn't played Basketball for several years-2009 right? I'd look for signs of improvement as this season goes on and not worry so much about season stats.
