Watching Doh running that damn monster 'Princeton' was flat out boring basketball even though they made the CIT....love him as a person not as a coach. Yesterday's loss was a wake up call..LB thought he got out coached with the matchups...maybe so but I loved LB playing Cunningham high in the 2 -3 Zone to try to take away the 3 point shooting with his length.

Ha, that's cause I bleed it. Losing kills me. I never actually go anywhere though. I've posted less this season than any in the past 15 years.

I hear you! Believe me, I love having a great home crowd and filling up the building but I also think it is ridiculous that many of the same fans that are camping out overnight could not be bothered to go to the Curtis Culwell Center earlier this season. I had plans to go to a game this season at the new Moody, but my life is currently preventing me from planning in advance so I will have to wait to go at some point next season. You can always find me at the games in Houston. Selfishly, I really hope we put Rice back on the schedule as a road game so that I have at least 2 games to go to each season!

I think the other problem is that there are many of us that are so excited about this season that we post even when we don't have a lot to say, thus creating a lot of "white noise".

For a long time this board was just one of the places I'd check when a player was out and I wanted to find out why. Nowadays I log in multiple times per day. It seems like I'm probably not the only one...

Tons of white noise. It's like people talking rpi and SOS in mid December. Just stop and win games, long season

Who would actually run off after a bad loss to put us in a position that us still light years ahead of where we have been in decades?

I think some of us were so excited about the top 25 that we might be overreacting to this loss.

I'm gonna miss that little number. I'd love to get it back, but mostly I just hope we get to have some fun this postseason.

Really? God forbid that these "Johnny-come-latelys" educate themselves about basket ball and RPI and SOS.

Sorry, but you sound like the guy who's upset when everyone starts liking the band that he "discovered".

It's a common phenomenon and hard to avoid even when you know you're guilty. I was absolutely intolerable in 2010 when the Rangers were "discovered" and my friends called me out on it. I'm trying to avoid a repeat performance with SMU basketball, but it's hard.

I think having this board to "vent" on is the only reason I still have friends.

Lol, not upset just annoyed at the level of discussion. Great season, horrible banter, not that I'm contributing anything worthwhile in this thread lol. Sometimes you just have to vent

All I'll say is welcome to the world of having a popular, exciting team.

There are going to be bandwagon fans (heck, I'm sure some consider me a bandwagon fan since I haven't been here that long) that jump on and off. There are going to be some new trolls showing up. There will be "sunshine pumpers" and "negative nancies".

All part of actually being relevant.

Come on Hoopmanx, let the newbies have their fun. At least they are on board with SMU basketball now. Better late than never. The discourse will pick up as our fans become hoops-smart

Probably the best concise summary of this thread and the past 18 hours of PonyFans.com activity in general.

I got myself away from PF for the first few hours after the game. Had to do it or I probably would have gotten myself banned.
