Myles would start here from day 1. He is in a class of his own above B. Moore, Cannen, and Yanick. Turner and Kennedy together in the frontcourt would be awesome

I agree, I think he also brings a much different dynamic than any of SMUs bigs in the sense that he can stretch the floor. He can bring players outside the paint and go to work.

Okie State will be fine, but no final four contender with him.
Ohio State returns basically everyone, only Craft and Smith Jr are gone but Scott is probably the better PG anyways, very similar. With a true big that can score, would have to think they would be a Final Four contender.
Kansas will lose Wiggins and Embiid, but the pieces are there to have a deep run again.
SMU obviously would have a serious influx of talent with Mudiay and Turner. I think they would blend nicely with the vets and put them in the Final Four discussion as well. Basically tOSU, KU, and SMU would all be final four contenders with Turner in the mix imo.

I have to say Kansas. The other teams are very good, but I think Kansas is in another league. (Not that I'm a fan at all... I can't stand Kansas fans.)

But I'm taking OhioBrownFan's word that Kansas is out, because I've gotten the same impression from the interviews I've heard.

Plus, it isn't like potential to win a National Championship is the only consideration.

I can't help thinking about Moore, Mudiay, Frazier, Kennedy, and Turner on the hardwood with Cannon, Brown, Yanick, and B Moore coming in off the bench. Assuming of course KF progresses a lot before his soph year.

Yeah, I think we'd be swapping Keith and Sterling in your line up for sure. Unless, as you mention, Keith progresses significantly and Sterling does not.

It's not really about Myles starting (I'm assuming he would but you never know). It's more about his minutes to get to the huge stat line he'd probably want. Even if he started, we'd have a heavy rotation of bigs.

Honestly, I have no idea what's on the kid's mind or his handlers. To me, the obvious choice is SMU (the only issue is playing time at this point).

If Turner came, I would seriously consider working with B. Moore over the summer to turn him into a 3. Go Moore, Mudiay, Moore, Kennedy/Yannick, and Turner. I think Ben Moore is athletic enough.

I agree but I cannot give up on him yet. He shows flashes of serious potential. If he can just get some things together. Oh well, either way an awesome line up.

That could be greatness. I love Ben's game. Larry does always say he doesn't use Ben properly...

You know I am embarrassed to admit I had not considered that option. Interesting thought process.

Just makes the team really big and a match-up nightmare. Turns the team into what should be an exceptional rebounding team on paper with Mudiay grabbing his share as well. And that's a lot of length to defend with some good low-post passers. Bring in Keith or Sterling when you want the extra shooting but I'd at least entertain the idea. Hell, I'd do it regardless of whether Turner comes because Ben Moore needs minutes and you could still go big with Kennedy and Yanick.

And there's about a 5% chance of Embiid staying, so might as well assume he's gone.

Turner said it in an interview a week or so back.

Got ya, thanks, never heard that before. I still stand by what I'm hearing though with all due respect. I think it may just be words coming out of Turner's mouth as opposed to reality at this point imo.

Like I said I can't believe I had not contemplated this... regardless I love the amount of options we have. Turner just adds to the equation.

“I have already visited Ohio State and Oklahoma State,” he said. “I would say the only better atmosphere than Moody was Oklahoma State. Ohio State had a great atmosphere, but this is definitely up there. I really like everything I have seen. They are definitely bringing energy and showing a home court advantage.”[/quote]

I was in Stillwater on Saturday for the Oklahoma game. The Sooners are their biggest rival and the place wasn't even half full. When their team isn't playing well they won't show up, unless they're playing KU.

Headline I want to see:

"Late To The Party Goes Home with Grand Prize."

I'm more optimistic than I was yesterday. Let LB work his magic.
