Again, many ways to define success. They had one good class that stayed for two years. They've missed the tourney a couple times and they only have three conference titles in the worst P5 conference (six EVER). Sorry if I don't agree that they're "clearly the best".

@JayBilas: Three of KU's ten straight Big 12 titles were won without a single returning starter from the prior year. Wow.
That is absurd.

No one cares about conference titles in cbb. A lot of teams only feign trying to win in order to rest up for the big dance. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2

Cue Brett Shipp investigation to Waco - sounds like there's enough in this thread to keep him busy for the spring.

What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

The one thing I despise about college ball is that many leagues designate the conference tourney champ the league champ, and pretty much de-value the 18 game regular season. Lots of schools put up banners for regular season titles, but they aren't recognized by the league. Totally bunk

I think he's a lottery pick that will be light on production in college. He's not really an alpha kid, just highly skilled. I also don't like the idea of the glare SMU will get by having two top 5 kids, especially one that never listed us..
Got you, I kind of figured that would be the thought.

Stallion and standup, http://imgur.com/fbzhYtf(For the house of cards fans out there, you'll appreciate that) But in all seriousness this unofficial stuff happens everywhere and happens in football as well. I had a friend who took an official to Florida. He was picked up in a limo at the airport that had an extremely hot girl in the back who [deleted] on the way to campus. Once he got to campus he was toured around by hot sorority girls, meals paid for at the nicest restaurant in town and then taken out on the town with more hot sorority girls where everything was paid for. He ended up shacking at one of the girls places (he's an offensive lineman, he doesn't pull girls like that so I am sure it was planned), and then was taken care of again on the way to the airport. This process repeated itself at two other schools. I have to think that stallion and standup must be in the 45-60 range because if you follow recruiting at all you know this happens on a regular basis. And if you are younger then that and still believe this stuff doesn't happen then you have your head so far in the sand its never coming out.

You must be a rookie. This has certainly been going on for far longer than it sounds like you have been alive.

Exactly why I would take all of my OV's. Had several football friends go through the same stuff at several schools. They had the pick of the litter wherever they went. Anyone remember Lane Kiffin's "Hostess" program at Tennesee? This happens everywhere…including TCU…I know that for a fact http://deadspin.com/5422400/tennessees- ... es-updated

Has to be painful for Stallion to be lumped in with StandUp...

Yeah ok. So few make the dance let alone have any real chance of winning. Conf titles matter, though clearly less so than NCs.
