Nice...heard he might take a dive in the Rivals rankings because of his injury. good to hear he's playing well.
Anyone know what LB's interest level is in him? I'd imagine June might be asking for a favor in return for helping out in the interview process to get his 5-star LB brother from OSU here as well.
Of course, and I've said this before, the fact we're debating whether or not we want a four-star local guy is insane and such a change from 24 months ago

I would be shocked if LB does not put the full court press on for Mitchell. The kid has a motor that won't stop.

How is he defensively? That's obviously extremely important to Larry. Thanks for your insight BTW

This was the first time I have ever seen him play, so take it FWIW.
I thought his help defense was outstanding. He forced 2 or 3 turnovers in 8 minutes. He looked like a middle line backer reading the plays, always thinking ahead. I was in awe watching the kid, just really impressive court presence.
My brother told me that my nephew played against him a few years ago. Nephew held him to 2 points in first half, then Mitchell dunked on him 5 plays in a row in 2nd half, and that was middle school. I gave my brother the account of the game last night, and he said that's the Mitchell he remembers.
Mitchell is still recovering from an injury. We need to back off him until he is fully recovered. We are after several other very good players as well so no need to fret a lot about this one imo. We'll see though.

We are in on other good players that were 5*LB and #1 players on the state?
