Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships at Moody

Postby 2ndandlong » Fri Feb 28, 2014 11:25 am

I'm planning on going on April 3rd. Think this could be a fun event. Hope I get to keep my seats for this, but I haven't heard anything about whether or not season ticket holders have first dibs on their seats.

Anyone else going? Anyone else have additional details?

I got the email yesterday and bought 4 seats. They are not my seats though, slightly better than my seats.

I am not sure who the email went out to though.

Did the email come from SMU?

SMU Ticket Office

I emailed the Ticket Office asking to pick up my seats, but no response yet (fully understand they're swamped right now).

Yes, from the ticket office. Maybe they were only sent to certain sections or mustang club levels initially, I have no idea. Login to your ticketmaster account and see if it will let you buy them.

A little upset I didn't get an e-mail. I requested that they let me know. I'll call today. Maybe only available to certain people?

Maybe club level season ticket holders only?

I finally got some more information on this. You do not have right of first refusal for your season tickets. Best seats available are 102-106 (red seats). Red seats run $29/per. Tickets are available through ticketmaster. Bought 4.

I don't see them as available through the SMU ticket site, Ticketmaster, or CollegeSlam.com...

I guess I'll just call the ticket office. They're normally pretty helpful.

Got a couple tickets now. Helpful as always.

And I got the generic e-mail about 5 minutes after I got off the phone.

So did they explain to you what GA1 row 1 seats 7,8,9, 10 means? They are only $15. I know GA is General Admission, but will they give you a certain row. I assume this means bleachers in student section, maybe?

and yes red seats are offered for $29 each. I am assuming they are offering up the lower level seats to SMU season ticket holders for a short time, and then open every seat up to the general public.

I just clicked in and pulled the trigger on 4 seats in the red. Once you are in purchasing process, read carefully. The tickets will only be sold and released to you, if your team reaches the Final Four. and That's fine with me. It says we will only be charged, when SMU advances to the Final Four.

I did not see any language like that. I have already printed my tickets, they are good no matter who makes the final four.
