If the Froggy faithful haven't yet come out in droves just to tell us how much we suck, and that we are going to get mowed down on Saturday... that means they are already on the Utes boards, or still basking in the glow, and bashing Boomer boards...
Let's just hope the football team is feeling the same way.

All that being said, I have been surprised and delighted by the etiquette that the FrogFans have shown. Refreshing after the Baylor fans... man, those guys were worse then the NT folks... and almost as annoying as PonySnob.

If you go to their website they talk about how pathetic our board sounds and how no one here even thinks we will win.......
Guess they don't want to kick a dead dog....again.
And the worst part about it, last Sunday I was defeated, knowing we have no chance......it is now Thursday and I am getting excited for the underdog to FINALLY win one. How stupid am I? As my friends say, "Hope is the most dangerous part of Pony Football"
Surely this Sunday I will be defeated and finally throw in the towel after 11 years, but until then...pony up, i guess.

Funny, I think the Frog faithful have been trying more to give you guys a boost and say it won't be as bad as you think. Just trying to give you a lift until game time.
I think it has something to do with that saying about beating a dead pony.

Insanity is repeating the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I think that pretty much sums us up on this board.
Each week we get up saturday, dreaming that we will see a pony victory only to be slapped down again until we awake the following saturday. Pretty much an exercise in futility... not that I am going to give it up just yet.

Oh don't get me wrong me@smu... We won't win this game. But then again, I said that there was no chance TCU beats Blowklahoma.
Sunshine daydreams are often followed by reality nightmares...
But hey, even the gloomerdoomers on this board go to the games. And if you're going to the game that means that your admitting to yourself that there is a possibilty that we will win.
SMU 17
TCU 14
Time to wake up, the medication's wearing off.

Trust me...I love the positive nature of the board and our overly positive view of our Ponies chances every week.

It will be over before it begins. Going to the game and hanging out in the Stables to watch the Longhorns win.
What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

That sounds depressing.
Personally, I'm going to the game and hoping to see the Ponies record a great win. Because if (I mean WHEN) we win, it will be a great win.
GO PONIES!!!!!!!!!

At this point I am just hoping that the team gets their offensive act together so that the rest of the season gets better.
I am not optimistic though as TCU will stack the line and crash the QB. With no passing game we will not be able to back them off. The defense will again be on the field forever.
One silver lining from the Baylor game. There were no long breakaway TDs and that is one reason the defense was on the field so long.
Go Ponies!! Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad

Well, we really aren't as bad a bunch as some of you would make us out to be and besides that, most TCU folks want SMU to get better so that we can kick up our rivalry again. We may never play in the same conference again but I suspect we will always be rivals.

The only thing we can say with near certainty is, the frogs will come out flat. This will get our hopes up, only to be violently dashed when they run it down our throats in the 4th. Hopefully we can play a perfect game (which is what we'll need to do) and knock them down to earth like they deserve, and like the toads they are. I'll unfortunately be working Sat. nite, and won't be able to check the score until about 1:00 am ET. Pull em through, gents.

That's the spirit! I wish more downtrodden SMU fans thought like you. Never give an inch to the Horrible Purple Horde!

I'd like to see the Mustangs stuff a dead dog down the Frogs' throats Saturday night.
