So it seems to me there are three keys to openly tailgating in the grassy, treed area just to the southwest of the main Moody entrance: 1) No fires; 2) Red cups instead of open displays of beer cans or wine bottles; 3) Self control -- no drunken behavior. In other words, maintain a bit of a low profile and we'll be fine.

Just talked to my buddy and we are going to start out on the roof of Moody tomorrow. After lunch, we may stroll at ground level with our beverages.

Now you're talking.
The biggest concern I have is with lack of places to relieve excess liquids.

Until the game tipped off yesterday, I thought having a designated tailgate area, "mini-blvd," was a great idea. Once the game started, I realized SMU isn't ready for it. There were a lot of latecomers...especially students.
Make the fans' focus inside the coliseum. There's plenty of food and BEER inside. You could even have happy hour prices before the game! The concourse and entryway are now large enough for people to congregate. If you make the opposing teams think about the crowd during warm-ups, Moody will be even more opposing.

Sorry we missed you. I actually forgot you were doing it or we would have stopped by to say hey.
