The guy who runs the boards and music sits right below me and is very receptive to suggestions and very into the game. Approach him with some of these suggestions as a good start... he would probably be willing to do something similar to the knicks "defense" music/chant or display the words if we could get the graphics done for it.

Could you ask him to do the Knicks defense chant thing since you sit close to him.

I think we need to do something original, and I'm not sure we could do it as an organ sound, but I'll bounce it off him to see what options there are.

I'll see if they can do it on the board or not. That video board is very sophisticated w/ the Fiber coming from Ford under ground. The live stats feeds actually come from elsewhere and that's why it's slow showing up.

Changing the subject a bit, since everyone in the country does the na na na na song at the end when the game is secure and Brown has said he does not like it, how about a "Not in our house" chant? That would have the same effect and Brown would have to like it. It would also be unique unless it is commonplace and I do not know it.

Thanks, Giddy and StandEsq. We have to get involved or there will be no change. I am going to inquire and see if we can get an alumni committee of maybe 4 or so to be able to sit and present some ideas on how to involve all more closely and make the Moody experience better. If we have to teach the cheerleaders how to lead cheers then so be it. If all that is needed for this position is to be able to do a back flip and wave to the crowd while skipping back to sit in front of the band then it's time to up the requirements and find some folks who really want to do their job. It should be an honor and pleasure to be able to lead the House that Larry Built.

Like your ideas, TidePony. I have also thought the gym could be halved, with one side chanting Red, the other Blue and everyone SMU. I think the Lobster could hold up a sign (can be homemade for Wed) that says Red and find someone on the other side to hold up one that says blue. Couldn't be that hard.
Also like mrydel's Not in Our House idea @ end of the game and I think that would also be a good time to chant Moody Magic. Guess it would be too hard to put a paper in each seat with RED on the side behind the benches and BLUE on the seats across from the players so people would know which color they are to yell. Wonderful problems to have!!

Could we get it done with dueling overhead projectors?

One side - "WHOSE HOUSE"

Other Side - "OUR HOUSE"

rinse and repeat
"smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
