So what, he's going to play 5 minutes? That should have him back in shape and ready for the postseason. I'd be willing to put a bet on him not playing more than 5 minutes if at all.

Coach speak. If he's 100%, why would you keep your 2nd best player off the floor? I would be trying to find him any minutes I can so he can get back to starting.

He is NOT 100%...he would be playing. Too good of an inside presence to be missing playing time leading into the AAC and NCAA tourney's.

How about the logic that We didn't need him yesterday and to rest the knee until we DO need him, i.e. Louisville.

Shut down by "he's practicing" claims.

How do you figure that? lol. Top JUCO center in the nation and was hands-down the best post player pre-injury.

I disagree. he is great, but MK is stronger and has a more diverse creative game.

I will say that Yannick is HUGE to our efforts to go anywhere in the tourney because with he and MK there is never a time when the other team can lay off the post - which gives us more room to work and really ears down the other D by 2nd half.

He started over MK. And played much more minutes and averaged better statistics. What more do you want? I agree that MK has come along a lot and may even be the better player now, but you don't sit Yanick unless he's hurt. If anything, he compliments MK's game greatly with his interior passing.

Since Yanick went down all the other bigs have had to step up and, to a man, they have. Having what we've played with PLUS 5-10 SOLID minutes from Yanick would suit me just fine at this point. I just don't think it's reasonable to expect much more but I hope we don't have to live with less.

Not sure this matters, but I think when both were playing MK had similar minutes and better stats. In any event, we are for sure a better team with both, and I will go far as to say we need yanick to produce for us at least 8-10 minutes to make much of a dent in the tourney - he causes match up problems.

He certainly will be a secret weapon to play this late in the season.

I would just like to see he and MK on the court at the same time for about 10 minutes. Let's just see what happens. If concerned about fouls, we have solid backups in Cannen and B. Moore. Louisville's as good a place to start it as any. I wonder if they've been practicing that lineup at all.
