For the mob members out there, is there a specific reason you guys accelerate through the defense chant? The way it plays out now is you start it with 35 seconds left on the shot clock and it's super loud. As you accelerate it gets harder for you all to chant in unison and it basically dies out with 15 or so left on the clock, just when you should start getting the loudest. This totally kills the great energy you guys bring.

With regards to Hart whining about vulgarity, it's idiotic for him to start trying to micromanage our home court advantage. The student section contributes to the hissy fit coaches tend to have at Moody. I doubt it's because of their respectful and clean banter.

Who cares if there are women around? What year is this, anyway?

That is a good observation imo.

I'm not a mob member seeing as I graduated in 2012, but I think the natural acceleration of the De-Fense chant just comes naturally from excitement and intensity of the possession...

that's where my argument comes from for some mob members to act as organizers of the student section, start the first defense chant at a slow rhythm, keep the claps together and on a pace that can be sustained throughout a possession. The pace can increase, but let it build a little more slowly.

That's what you strive for, aim for that rhythm and togegerness with "S-M-U" and "de-fense"

Problem is you lose syncopation when 200+ people are saying it at their derived max.

Was foul language even invented back then?

We had not invented a third syllable yet so Rubbish was the only of those we could use.

"Bull-sh...t" will always be the chant after a bad call, from HS to college to pro games. To try and stop that? Stupid.

I think cursing is okay at certain times, but obviously you do not do that in front of children. As far as Hart saying "there are women present", I think we need to grow up and realize that this is 2014 and women are 'equal' to men and there shouldn't be censorship based on gender.

C'mon guys, this isn't 'Gone with the wind' - women aren't going to get the vapors because they hear a curse word. Shoot, I know many women in DC and NYC that curse more than most men do. Let's be realistic.

Also, for Hart to get involved in micromanaging what fans say is a bit of an overreach. I understand that a sporting event ticket is a revocable license, and you can get escorted out for any number of reasons, but Hart shouldn't be personally involved with that.
