So well said, if it unfolds like that, I will be truly jealous. I wish Ohio State basketball games were near as much fun as Moody is. Good to see the school shake the country club atmosphere and be there to support the team. It's amazing watching how the fan base has transformed this year. I'm really am jealous, I've said it before but I'll say it again, one of the coolest "traditions" in college basketball is that the team gives out fives after games on the home floor. You don't see that at Carolina, you don't see that at UCLA, you don't see that at Indiana, that is so unique that I imagine it's not even appreciated like it should be. So many "big-time" programs and players have their noses high and are too good for the fans that come to support them.

It's refreshing to see that the fans and team interact as a family and university. Refreshing that fans are going to the games because they want to watch the game/support the program instead of Moody being "the place to be seen" as I feel so many of Dallas fans are with their sports teams. There's only so much you can get out of the fake culture of being there just to say you went as opposed to going because you're proud of the program and your school. It's awesome and Ohio State could learn a thing or two especially when it comes to not looking down at other programs and being appreciative of the effort the guys are giving. It's embarrassing that OSU fans consider our team to be a complete waste and not show the support even though they're a tourney team and bouncing around the Top 25, it translates to wins and I'm guessing we'd have a couple extra wins with the same fan support this year as SMU is getting from you guys. Kudos and I'm looking forward to watching the team beat Louisville. Louisville fans are going to erupt to get beat by "poor little SMU" in their mind and I'm going to enjoy every second of it. Pony up fellas.

Thanks, OBF.

I was at the Louisville game in January and their place was deader than a morgue until we came back in the second half. The loudest they got was on a bad call with three minutes left.

Thanks for your comments, OBF. I was wondering if any of the top tier programs do that after games. It was either the UConn game or the USF game when Nic ran over to the student section after Varsity and started high-fiving all the students and then a few kids in other sections. The rest of the team kind of stopped as they were walking back to the locker room and watched, wondering to themselves what the hell Nic was doing? But the next game they all did it. In addition to the students, other fans and their kids started lining up around the court, and the guys slowly made their way around high-fiving, taking quick pics and signing autographs. It is a very cool thing, hopefully a tradition that seems to have started organically. It's pretty awesome to see how this team has connected with students and fans. Very special.

Agreed. That place was dead. In all honesty the YUM! is too big. I hope they didn't think Memphis was loud. If so they are in for a rude awakening.

I've been in there a few times, once for a Louisville/Cinci game and it was pretty loud that night. The other was for NCAA tourney games and it was not very loud at all. It's a huge arena, that's how a lot of the bigger arenas are. What kills it is all the suites and club seats that separate the lower and upper bowl. Consequently, they're built wider when the seats should be on top of each other. Exactly how the Schottenstein Center is. Can be loud or be dead as a doornail.

LA-That's what I thought. I've never seen it, definitely different from anything I've experienced.

I have Yum to be a great place for a concert, but not so great for sports. Sounds gets deadened.
