Re: Arrive early to the Louisville gamewhat ever happen to 'flex time?" don't bosses allow people flex time for doctor appointments and other stuff? if you work for a company that doesn't offer reasonable flex time you might want to look for another employer who is employer friendly
not only did I allow flex time but I sometimes told employees to cut out early when we were all caught up. I would give them a 1/2 hour and by the end of the month they give me hours. don't they teach this at COX?
Re: Arrive early to the Louisville game
Great if clock watching the hours at your desk is your main concern. I have meetings with clients amd deadlines to make sure people meet. Hard to just cut out at 4 and lose several hours of my day and make clients and coworkers all rearrange their schedule around a basketball game. "I think Couchem is right."

Re: Arrive early to the Louisville gameplease. like you never take off. Just leave. It will be there when you get back. You aint all that important.
Re: Arrive early to the Louisville gameI am all lined up to be there early - just don't like the tone on here. Not everyone can make it early. That makes them busy, not bad fans or unworthy to attend

Re: Arrive early to the Louisville game
Surely, you jest. Life is too short. Whatever you do is not more important than this game.
Re: Arrive early to the Louisville game
Bingo. Keno. We have a winner. My thoughts exactly. If the people I work with don't like it after all the sweat, blood and tears I pour into this enterprise at this point, they are very welcome to fire me. I'm an SMU grad - I will land on my feet no problem. Their loss. This game is historical. The work will be there tomorrow (NO ONE has EVER had a regret on their death bed that went something like this: "I wish I had just WORKED more.")

Re: Arrive early to the Louisville game
I hope everyone follows your example. Even those who will be watching the game on TV.
Re: Arrive early to the Louisville gameI've told the wife that I will not be giving our 11 month-old daughter a bath nor will I be reading stories tonight. Dad is taking tonight off (her bedtime is 7:15).
Father of the year! pony up.
Re: Arrive early to the Louisville gameOh man, I'm having horrible digestive distress and flatulence. For the good of the firm I better leave and "work" from "home"
