Nic Moore Ankle

Postby Oliver » Wed Mar 05, 2014 4:12 pm

I hate to start anything that might not be true, but supposedly he landed a little awkwardly on his ankle again in practice yesterday. Has anyone heard anything about it?

Obviously he aggravated it initially against UCF and was fine, but if he's on any sort of limited minutes tonight or in any pain we're in trouble already..

It was on Monday. Hasn't really been practicing much anyways because of little nicks and bruises but he didn't go through practice yesterday. Trainers put him on crutches on Monday and then a boot yesterday but there isn't much swelling and he is walking fine today (according to my source). Apparently he's going to just get a cortisone shot before the game and give it a go.

i figured it might be a little gimpy once he was off the floor for a few hours and it stiffened up. i have no doubt he'll man up and play like a champ again tonight.

If it is not a high ankle sprain it won't be much of an issue. Trust me on this. I have much experience with ankle injuries during bball seasons.

Yeah, I've had quite a few myself (stepping on tennis balls, coming down on someone else's foot, etc). It's either so bad you can't really walk on it for a few days or it's just a little tender. I don't know which one this is. I had a high ankle and I was on crutches for a week and it hurt like hell. Pretty much no sports for me for several weeks.

Hope he can go and be effective. If not, we need Russell and Ryan to step it up. They can do it, and Larry has been preparing them for this scenario.

Hopefully Nic can go and be near 100%
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!
