Helloooooooo, barbeque at the coaches home? That is a direct violation of NCAA recruiting rules. And here it is in black and white with quotations.

I don't think so. Coaches can host players at their homes once in school and they certainly can on an official visit I would think.

While rumor is that Odufuwa really enjoyed his visit to SMU...he decided to take his trip to Boulder this weekend afterall.

Why wouldn't anyone want to take their recruiting trip to Boulder? Nice scenery in the mountains, loose women...oh wait they stopped that...right?

From CU's Rival Site:

With 10 seniors on CU's roster this year, the possibility for early playing time is the main reason why Odufuwa set up a visit with the Buffs. "At Colorado, they promised like 30 minutes a game (as a freshman), so that is something that I have to consider," he recently told BuffStampede.com

Oh and they mention that ASU is the team to beat for Odufuwa's signature...lets hope they are wrong!!

They promised 30 minutes a game as a freshman? Who does that? I can see if you have a stud recruit on the hook, maybe you promise he'll start. But of course some players fail to live up to expectations while others exceed expectations. Promise the kid he'll start, and if doesn't perform, then you bring him off the bench. I realize you do what you have to do to get a stud recruit, but promising a specific number of minutes seems awfully unusual to me.

From Rivals:

"I'm looking for the place where I feel like I'll have the best opportunity to play early, but I'll also think about the level of competition because I know SMU isn't in the Pac-10 or Big-12. I'll look at that and also just where I think I'll be most comfortable and have the best overall experience.

"Now that I've taken all the official visits I scheduled, I'll probably sit down with my parents and coach and talk about it," Odufuwa said. "We really haven't discussed it too much yet. But I would say all three of those schools (ASU, SMU, Colorado) are pretty much equal right now and I just have to go over all of it.

Come to SMU. Play early, play in front of family and friends, play often, play hard and play well.
