numerous reports on internet that Colbert has a GPA in mid 3's and taking honors courses so HIGHLY unlikely that SMU "pulled his admit"-doesn't make any sense before end of semester and with several more SAT/ACT dates anyway.

The person who told me said that Darrel decided not to come to SMU. Not the other way around.

Not true. The other day at practice, I counted 12 or 13. Maybe there was someone missing because of injury or class conflict or something, but the crew is not as deep as usual. Off the top of my head:

Holman, Johnson, Walker are gone because of graduation, leaving:
Joseph, Thompson, Sanders (injured), Lancaster, Nelson, Stewart, Dickerson, Halverson, Gaines, Barrientos (walk-on), Buffini (walk-on), Holleman and Stafford (walk-on).

Didn't see Kyle Guinyard out there, and I had heard rumors that he might be done (medical), but have not confirmed that so I haven't reported it. Also haven't seen Jack Neuheisel, but that doesn't mean he's not out there. There's one other walk-on whose name I don't know.

So if the season started today, and if we're not including the freshmen since we haven't seen them play, etc., would the starting four be Thompson and Nelson outside, with Joseph and Sanders in the slot?

JJ never plays more than the same 4 anyway, so I think we're ok. Probably:

Stewart?
Gaines

Would be great if Holleman and Stewart could step up and live up to their hype.

One can also hope the SMU administration (Turner, Hart) wouldn't be that stupid; to be "unsure" if SMU only won 2 games
