SMU Men’s Basketball’s #MarchToMadness will continue in a Selection Sunday Celebration on March 16 at Moody Coliseum, when fans can share the excitement and watch with the players and coaches as NCAA Tournament bids are announced.

Moody will open to Mustang fans at 4 p.m., and the NCAA Tournament Selection Show, which starts at 5 p.m., will be shown on the videoboard.

The No. 25/23 Mustangs are 23-8 (12-6 American) and anticipating their first NCAA berth since 1993. SMU’s resurgence includes being ranked for the first time since 1984-85, defeating four ranked teams for the first time since 1955-56, winning 23 wins for the for the first time since 1987-88 and totaling 12 conference victories for the first time since the 1992-93 Southwest Conference championship season. The Mustangs went 15-1 at home this season including 9-1 in the renovated Moody Coliseum with three wins over ranked teams.

The event is free and complimentary parking will be available in the Moody and Binkley Garages. Concessions will also be available during the event.

This is Fing awesome. You guys in the Metroplex better be there, that place should be filled, cool as hell they're doing it with the fans. So cool, those are experiences you'll never forget as a Mustang and may never have the chance to experience again.

I'm impressed over and over again in how this team recognizes their fans and "gives back" so to speak. Truly a special team for reasons outside of a basketball court.

I hope CBS will be there with live cameras when they are selected. I assume they will considering it's the feel good story of the year

I have heard that both CBS and ESPN will have crews at this event, and that they both made the request a couple weeks ago. I believe the players will be on the floor with fans in the seats and the screen will be lowered quite a bit.

Also, I heard that Turner specifically asked the ath dept if they could open the concession/beer stands for this.
